Hendersonville High School

The Hendersonville High School project is a 175,000 sf campus in downtown Hendersonville.  It includes multiple phases on the existing campus for a combination of demo/new construction of 90,000 sf and renovation of 85,000 sf.  The project also includes new athletic facilities (ie – gym, lockers, wrestling, weight room, etc.), a new turf football field, and a new elevated press box.  There is also an extensive sitework package with significant grade changes and unsuitable soil conditions.

Blue Ridge Community College – Patton Building

This 80,000 sf Public Sector Construction Manager at Risk project included a 50,000 sf addition, 30,000 sf renovation, and a 5,000 sf pre-engineered metal building, all in the center of a very busy campus. The project included an extensive sitework package with significant grade changes and utility relocations; as well as maintaining the campus’ central IT hub at all times during a complete interior demo/renovation scope.

This project consisted of a new single-story, 43,700 sf ground-up retail store, and showroom building for Rooms to Go. The construction consisted of a structural masonry wall, glass curtain wall, stone exterior finish, and a TPO roof system with barrel trusses.

The project involved a 23-acre site with 150,000 CY of earthwork with six (6) pad-ready sites, including sitework for a new Hobby Lobby store. The project included segmental soil nail and H-pile walls. During the project, Vannoy also relocated a portion of Duke Energy’s main transmission line, with one tower being removed. In addition, Vannoy placed a new NCDOT intersection and revised the existing signalization.
