Novant Health – Cyber Security Upfit

The 19,942 sf cyber security renovation project included demolition of the existing architectural finishes, construction of new walls, and installation of new storefront walls and doors in order to create new conference and collaboration spaces within the suite. New finishes were installed throughout including new vinyl wall covering, paint, luxury vinyl planks, and carpet. Each of the gang bathrooms were renovated to add a shower to each with a dedicated water heater to support these new showers. New electrical was run throughout the space to serve the needs of a large number of workstations and servers. The existing fluorescent light fixtures were replaced with new LED fixtures throughout the space. Additionally, the lobby received a new reception desk, and the breakroom received new casework.

Queens University – Sarah Belk Gambrell Center for the Arts and Civic Engagement

The Queen’s University Fine Arts Building was built in 1966, underwent a major renovation as well as a name change. The original three-story, 54,500 sf building includes a recital hall, main auditorium, offices, practice rooms, and classrooms – all of which were completely renovated. The project also included a two-story, 8,500 sf addition that houses an art gallery, grand lobby, and outdoor plaza extending toward Selwyn Avenue. The recital hall in the lower level was restored, and the Auditorium underwent a total renovation, with the addition of two balcony levels. These renovations bring the overall seating capacity to over 1,000 seats and add all new performance equipment, lighting, and AV to the building. Premier classroom spaces were created, as well as an outdoor classroom terrace on the third level. A new piano lab and percussion lab was constructed and is supported by additional practice rooms and additional instrument storage space. This completed project locates all components of the Fine Arts program at Queens University under one roof, in the new Sarah Belk Gambrell Center for the Arts and Civic Engagement.

This new 71,000 sf, 256-bed detention facility for Burke County consists of a layout of two main wings, a booking/kitchen wing, as well as a housing wing. The housing wing is divided into eight separate cell blocks which are monitored via a central control room on the second floor, using state of the art security electronics. The booking/kitchen area is comprised of staff offices, magistrates offices, multiple holding cells, a laundry area, a video visitation center, and a full-service kitchen. Vannoy Construction was contracted to perform all work on the site from earthwork up.

Novant Health – Neurology & Sleep

The renovation of Neurology & Sleep Clinic for Novant Health consisted of 56,000 sf new interior finishes, plumbing fixtures, VAV HVAC system and lighting. An additional side entry way was added for ease of access from the employee parking. This refresh has provided Novants guests with a modern, open and efficient space in conjunction with the best possible care.
