This project involves the realignment and winding of portions of Highway 221 located in Ashe and Watauga counties. The scope of work includes extensive mass grading, site utilities, highway infrastructure including bridges and culverts, storm drainage, and new roadway sections along with connections to existing highways. This is a $46M highway widening project on US 221 in Watauga/Ashe Counties for NCDOT. Includes 1.5M Cubic Yards of earth/rock excavation, six (6) bridges and four (4) box culverts.
