Samaritan’s Purse Wilkesboro Office Sitework

As the Prime Contractor, Vannoy was responsible for performing the clearing & grubbing, grading, drainage, stone base, and erosion control, as well as managing the work of subcontractors on this 13-acre site for a new 47,078 sf, three-story corporate office building.

New construction of a 47,078 sf three-story corporate office building with a veneer that consists of precast concrete panels, split face block, glass curtain wall, and stone with a TPO and standing seam metal roof. The main floor consists of a reception area, elevator lobby, dining room, servery, full kitchen with a walk-in cooler and freezer, and a loading dock. The second floor consists of a balcony from the elevator lobby overlooking the first-floor reception area with a custom timber handrail, open office areas for cubicles, and executive offices/ conference rooms consisting of demountable glass walls. The third floor consists of additional areas for the cubicles and executive offices, as well as the presidential office, executive conference rooms, and outdoor balcony. Finishes include level 5 ceilings and walls, heavy timber ceiling beams, ACT ceilings, T&G accent wall, hardwood floors, carpet tiles, ceramic tile, protect all flooring for kitchen floors, and wood trim around doors and floor base. Sitework includes 305 space parking lot, sidewalks with wooden handrails, landscaping, split face retaining wall, a paver patio with a stone knee wall, a stone fire pit, and a drive-through heavy timber canopy.

Lowes of Holly Springs Sitework

This 38-acre site included all grading for a new 103,000 sf Lowe’s Superstore as well as a future Wegman’s Grocery store. The project also included widening Wildwood Drive and Ralph Stephens Road, as NC 55 was being widened to include a 16” waterline relocation, gas line relocations, and new traffic signals at the intersection of NC 55 and Ralph Stephens Road.

This 18-acre phased project included grading for a new Jaguar/Land Rover dealership, as well as the re-construction of six (6) acres of existing parking used to store commercial vehicles. The project included 150,000 CY of earth haul off, retaining walls, storm drainage water & sewer improvements, relocation of an existing ATT switching cabinet, pervious pavers, curb & gutter, and asphalt pavement.

This USDA-funded project involved the replacement of the water main and water services through the Town of Sparta along US 21 from Grandview Drive to Trojan Avenue with milling and replacement of the existing asphalt surface course over the waterline. The project also included the complete removal of all existing pavement and sidewalks from Doughton Street to Cheek Street, as well as the intersection of US 21 and NC 18. Following the removal of the old asphalt, the profile of the roadway was adjusted to allow for a better tie-in of new curb and gutter, concrete sidewalks, brick paver sidewalks, and removal and replacement of the existing traffic signal with a new architectural mast arm traffic and crosswalk signal system.
