McDowell Replacement Hospital

The McDowell Hospital project included a new three-story, 115,000 sf acute care replacement hospital built parallel and only 25 ft from the existing 95,000 sf operational hospital facility. The new facility includes (4) operating rooms, (1) endoscopy room, (14) PACU bays, (5) labor/delivery rooms, (20) medical-surgical beds, (6) critical care rooms, (2) isolation rooms, (14) bed Emergency Department, MRI, CT Scanner, RAD, infusion suite, obstetrics/ gynecology clinic, cardiology clinic, sleep lab and a full-service kitchen/cafeteria.

Charlotte Orthopedic Hospital

The new Charlotte Orthopedic Hospital is sandwiched on a tight site between the existing Ortho Hospital and OrthoCarolina. Vannoy provided preconstruction and construction services for the new 3-story, 90,000 sf addition, as well as the 12,000 sf renovation. The facility includes 32 Patient Rooms, state-of-the-art Operating Rooms, Central Processing Department, PACU, Imaging Department, an expansion of their existing Central Energy Plant, Connector Bridge, and Educational Classrooms. Construction began late in 2015 on this 7-phased project, all of which were managed to limit the impact on hospital operations. Transylvania Regional Hospital – ED Addition

The new Emergency Department at Transylvania Regional Hospital (11,000 sf addition and 2,400 sf renovation) has 12 beds in larger rooms, specifically designed to efficiently layout equipment and accommodate caregiving teams. These rooms surround a centralized nursing station, which provides optimal supervision of all patients. Four rooms are dedicated to behavioral health patients, as well as additional space for rooms for less traumatic emergencies, such as bone breaks. Novant Health – Mint Hill Medical Center

Situated on 82 acres the 207,000 sf, the 36-bed facility houses a 16-bay emergency department and offers maternity services, rehabilitation, cardiovascular services, imaging, a laboratory and a pharmacy. A medical-office building of 60,000 sf was also included for physician practices and other medical services on the campus.
